Works experience leads Leam to an apprenticeship!
Undertaking two weeks work experience has led to a local schollboy being taken on as an apprentice by a Gateshead based Signage Company.The new recruit a Gateshead-based school-leaver has been enlisted by Jonsigns Ltd, in Saltmeadows Road, Gateshead, which specialises in offering large and small sign fabricatio, large format digital prinitng as well as vehicle graphics and other sign related services.
Jonathan Cawthorn MD at Jonsigns and school governor commented:
''This is an initiative we introduced two years ago, by offering works experience to local schools we are able to help young people prepare for the world of work whilst also making them more appealing to employers.''
Apprentice Leam Mills, 16, from Winlaton, said: '' Working for Jonsigns so far has been a great experience and I'm extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work here.''
''All the people I work with are so helpful and give me the motivation and drive to do well and succeed.''
