Health & Safety Policy Statement
Jonsigns Ltd has a duty to achieve the highest standards of health and Safety within the organisation and through its undertakings for its employees, non employees and members of the public. The senior management are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment and accepts that health and safety is an integral part of the day working of the organisation.
Jonsigns Ltd will so far as is reasonably practicable:
1) Ensure that all plant, equipment, storage and systems of work are safe and without risk to health and safety.
2) Ensure the safety and absence of risks to health in connection with the handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.
3) Provide adequate health and safety information, instruction, training and supervision to enable appropriate standards of competence.
4) Take all reasonably practicable measures to eliminate, reduce, isolate or control risks to the health and safety of its employees and non-employees.
5) Ensure that provision is made available for the maintenance of workplaces and the working environment for employees that ensure that they are safe, without risks to health and adequate facilities are made available for their welfare at work.
We will prevent accidents and ill health so far as reasonable practicable by promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation. These provisions will be implemented in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work act 1974 and the management of Health and Safety Work regulations 1999 and any other associated legislation.
A policy of this importance cannot be totally effective without the full commitment and cooperation of every member of staff within Jonsigns. All members of staff have a responsibility to make sure that they are familiar with and aware of all Jonsigns Ltd requirements. Failure to follow Health and Safety requirements by any member of staff could lead to disciplinary action.
